As of this version davinci is only available for Intel Macs. If you only have a PPC Mac, please use an older installer. Davinci for Mac is also only 32-bit at this time.
NOTE: There is a bug that prevents the ownership of the .dvrc and .inputrc files from being set properly for any versions < 2.0. Please run this command after installation, where "username" is your user name for that system. sudo chown "username" ~/.dvrc ~/.inputrc
